MFOCN Serves as Platinum Sponsor of Digital Myanmar Forum and Exhibition 2026, Backing Myanmar's Digital Infrastructure and ICT Development

Myanmar Fiber Optic Communication Network Co., Ltd. (MFOCN) participated in the Digital Myanmar Forum and Exhibition 2026 as a Platinum Sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to Myanmar's digital transformation and the development of the country's ICT sector.
Organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), the forum was held from 27 to 28 February 2026 at Yadanabon Teleport in Pyin Oo Lwin. Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Held under the theme "Digital Myanmar: Shaping Myanmar's Digital Future in the Age of AI," the forum brought together local and international ICT companies, industry experts and technology professionals to discuss Myanmar's digital development and cooperation opportunities in the age of artificial intelligence.
The event drew a wide range of organizations, including MPT, ATOM, Mytel, Huawei, ZTE, the Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF) and other key industry participants, reflecting the forum's role as a platform for industry exchange, cooperation and innovation.
During the exhibition, MFOCN presented an overview of the company, its core services and operational capabilities. The company's booth also featured on-site equipment displays, where technical experts conducted live demonstrations explaining how fiber optic splicing works in practice and its application in network infrastructure operations.
Ms. Dana Dong, President of HyalRoute and General Manager of MFOCN, together with Mr. Thaung Min Htut, Deputy General Manager of MFOCN, provided detailed briefings to representatives of the Posts and Telecommunications Department (PTD), government officials and visitors to the booth. They highlighted MFOCN's professional capabilities in fiber optic network construction, operations and maintenance, and technical services.
In his opening remarks, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasized the government's support for long-term investors, particularly enterprises engaged in digital infrastructure and ICT development, underscoring the importance of infrastructure investment to Myanmar's national digital transformation. He also noted the need to further develop digital infrastructure in Yadanabon New City, improve the relevant legal and regulatory framework to attract long-term investment, and promote affordable, secure and inclusive internet access.
The forum also addressed the digitalization of public services, the enhancement of enterprise digital capabilities and the development of the broader technology ecosystem, with the aim of accelerating Myanmar's overall digital transformation.
Yadanabon New City, also known as Myanmar's Silicon Valley, is an important ICT hub that provides an environment for industrial development and innovation. Its core facility, Yadanabon Teleport, has become a key communications and technology service center.
